Academic management through a Strategic Map: Maturity Model in the public education area

The objective was to create a maturity model for the academic management of a school system. The model was based on the CAPES assessment instrument, with indicators summarized through a strategic map. It is a comparative and prescriptive model that can be used both as a comparison tool between teaching units and to prescribe strategic actions at each point in the school system, allowing each unit to evolve from a specific stage of maturity to a more advanced one. By identifying common deviations between units, it will be possible to establish coordinated actions within the school system.
